Abstract

Myocardial rupture is a potentially fatal mechanical complication of acute myocardial infarction. Ruptures are divided into external (rupture of the left or right ventricle) and internal (rupture of interventricular septum or papillary muscle) Combination of any this ruptures are called double rupture. Double ruptures are to be met very rarely and need urgent surgical treatment, high mortality is common for it. Double ruptures are it is a rare complication of acute myocardial infarction (0.3%). Reports of such cases are extremely rare. Timely diagnosis, direction to the Department of Cardiac Surgery and surgical treatment enables to reduce mortality from mechanical complications of myocardial infarction.
