The periodical was founded in 1999 as A Yearbook of Scientific Papers of the Association of cardiovascular surgeons of Ukraine. Since 2014, the title was changed for Cardiovascular Surgery Herald, and since April 19, 2019 the Journal bears the name Ukrainian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery.

Languages: English, Ukrainian, Russian (multiple languages).

Certificate of state registration of printed mass media: series KV No.23867-13707PR dated April 19, 2019.

The Journal was included to the List of Ukrainian Scientific Professional Editions in which the results of PhD dissertations can be published, category “B” ("Б") (approved by the order of The Ministry Of Education and Sciences of Ukraine on 03/17/2020 No. 409).

Periodicity: quarterly (March, June, September, December).

Readership: doctors in the field of cardiovascular surgery, as well as doctors of other specialties; interns, post-graduate students, doctoral students, students, scientific and teaching staff of institutions of higher and postgraduate education and research institutions.

Program objectives: publication of research papers on the topics of cardiovascular surgery and interventional cardiology.

Publication ethics: in order to ensure high ethical and professional standards based on the principles of transparency and best practice of scientific publications, the editorial board of the Ukrainian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery adheres to the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics, International standards for editors and authors, as well as the Code of Ethics for a Scientist in Ukraine.
